These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pipeline website located at pipelineplanning.com and our educational transfer planning services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Pipeline provides personalized academic transfer planning services for community college students. Based on the information you provide, we create customized semester-by-semester roadmaps designed to help you transfer to your target universities.

Our Service includes:

• Personalized transfer plan creation based on your academic profile
• Course recommendations aligned with your intended major and target schools
• Semester-by-semester scheduling guidance
• Access to your plan through your account dashboard

2. Important Disclaimers

Not a Substitute for Official Advising

The transfer plans we provide are informational tools intended to assist with your academic planning. Our Service is not a substitute for official academic advising from your community college or target university. We strongly encourage you to consult with your college's academic counselors, transfer center, and the admissions offices of your target universities to verify all requirements.

No Guarantee of Admission

Pipeline does not guarantee admission to any university. Transfer requirements and admission decisions are determined solely by the receiving institutions. Meeting course requirements does not guarantee acceptance, as universities consider many factors in their admissions decisions.

Information Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, transfer requirements, course offerings, and articulation agreements change frequently. We rely on publicly available information from educational institutions, and we cannot guarantee that all information is current or complete. Always verify requirements through official sources.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your academic decisions. The accuracy of your transfer plan depends on the accuracy of the information you provide to us. You should review your plan carefully and verify all recommendations before enrolling in courses.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use our Service.

4. Payment Terms

Pipeline offers paid transfer planning services. By purchasing a plan, you agree to the following:

• All prices are listed in U.S. dollars
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide
• Each purchase is for a single-use personalized transfer plan as described

5. Plan Delivery and Refreshes

After you complete the onboarding process and purchase a plan, we will generate your personalized transfer plan. Delivery times may vary. Your plan will be accessible through your account dashboard.

Depending on your purchase tier, you may be entitled to a limited number of plan refreshes if your circumstances change. Refresh credits are specified at the time of purchase and are non-transferable.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated systems or software to access the Service without permission
• Reproduce, distribute, or resell the content of your transfer plan to others
• Submit false or misleading information

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Pipeline and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

Your personalized transfer plan is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not sell, share, or distribute your plan to others.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service

You acknowledge that academic decisions are complex and personal, and you agree not to hold Pipeline liable for any academic outcomes, including but not limited to delayed graduation, course failures, or denied transfer admissions.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pipeline, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

10. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services, including payment processors and authentication providers. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or content of third-party services.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.

12. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises from your use of the Service, we encourage you to contact us first to seek a resolution. Most disputes can be resolved informally.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, you agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property matters. The arbitration shall take place in California.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pipeline regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
